It may be possible to terminate your probation early under Ariz.R.Crim.P., Rule
27.4, usually after around 50% of the probation term has been completed successfully
and in compliance with the terms and conditions from the probation department.
However, in some cases, this can be done at a much earlier date.
Before requesting filing a Motion for Early Termination of Probation with the
assistance of an attorney, it is usually best to have all court fines, fees and any
restitution paid in full prior to filing the request.
The next thing we would do is contact the Probation Officer to open up a dialogue
and develop a rapport and see about them being on your side. Additionally, we will
include letters from family, friends and employers detailing all of the positive efforts
made since being on probation. Combined with any certificates and awards you received
for your successful completion. This is done in order to allow the Court to perceive you
as a person and not just as a number.
